5 Simple Marketing Tricks That Won't Break the Bank

As a business coach, I often hear from small business owners who feel overwhelmed by marketing.

They think it's too expensive, too time-consuming, or just too complicated. But it doesn't have to be!

Here are five easy, budget-friendly marketing tricks that can give your business a boost:

1. Leverage the power of email: Start a simple newsletter. Share tips, updates, or special offers with your customers. It's a great way to stay in touch and keep your business top-of-mind.

2. Get social (media): Pick one or two platforms where your customers hang out. Post regularly, engage with your followers, and show the human side of your business.

3. Partner up: Team up with complementary businesses for cross-promotions. It's a win-win that can help you reach new customers.

4. Give a little to get a lot: Offer a free sample, consultation, or valuable content. It's a great way to showcase your expertise and build trust.

5. Ask for reviews: Happy customers are your best marketers. Don't be shy about asking for reviews on Google, Facebook, or industry-specific sites.

Remember, consistency is key. Pick a few strategies that feel right for you and stick with them. You don't need a massive budget or a marketing degree to make an impact. Sometimes, the simplest approaches can yield the best results.

The Two Stages of Business Success: Action and Attraction

Hey let's chat about something that's really important  - the two key stages of business growth. I like to call them the "Action Stage" and the "Attraction Stage". Let's break them down in simple terms.

Stage 1: The Action Stage

This is where it all begins. You've got your brilliant idea, and now it's time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. In this stage, you're:

  • Setting up your business structure
  • Creating your products or services
  • Building your website
  • Reaching out to potential customers
  • Networking like crazy

It's all about putting in the hard yards. You're knocking on doors, making calls, and doing whatever it takes to get your business off the ground. It's exciting, but it can also be exhausting. You might feel like you're constantly chasing the next sale or client.

Stage 2: The Attraction Stage

Now, this is where the magic happens. After all that hard work in the Action Stage, you start to see a shift. Instead of always chasing, you find that opportunities and customers start coming to you. In this stage, you're:

  • Becoming known as an expert in your field
  • Getting referrals from happy customers
  • Seeing increased engagement on your social media
  • Having potential clients reach out to you
  • Attracting partnership opportunities

It's like you've built a magnet for success. Your reputation precedes you, and people are drawn to what you offer. This doesn't mean you stop working hard, but your efforts become more focused on nurturing relationships and delivering value.

The Key to Success: Balancing Both Stages

Here's the thing - these stages aren't a one-time deal. The most successful businesses are always cycling between action and attraction. Even when you're in the Attraction Stage, you need to keep taking action to maintain and grow your success.

The trick is to find the right balance. Use the momentum  from your Attraction Stage to fuel smart actions. And remember, every action you take in your business is laying the groundwork for future attraction.

So , where are you in your business journey? Are you in the Action Stage, hustling to get things moving? Let me help get you started with custom Ai... Or have you started to feel the pull of the Attraction Stage already? Share your experiences in the comments - I'd love to hear where you're at!- Janine
